Refer to No fear Shakespeare to clarify questions and see if you can pencil in the answers to the questions.
This is called close reading. This means that we are looking in detail at what is in the text and we are looking closely at Shakespeare's choice of words. Try to imagine Iago's manipulative tone and Roderigo's pitiful responses. Iago needs this man...Can you imagine why?Read this link for a character profile of Iago

Write a half the three-quarter page monologue from the point of view of one of the principal characters in any of the acts. Consider a pivotal moment for that character. Have that character reflect back about his or her intentions, motivations, fears or concerns.
For example: if you choose Mary Warren...you might have her talking about what made her change her mind in court and what influenced her to take part in the activities with the other girls at the opening of the play.
