I handed out a sheet today on character development. You are to find quotations to match the character traits. Winston is an anti-hero. Why is that? Your row had 4 questions to do.
Everyone is to do question # 13. If you don't have your homework done, you will be in at lunch on Monday.
CREATIVE WRITING
Your children's book is due on Monday. Everyone will be reading in groups. We will have snacks. There was a request to bring REAL FOOD.

Tomorrow we will be writing about archetypes in 1984. We will be sharing our information with the other people in the class and we will be preparing an outline for a paragraph about archetypes in the novel.
You can begin working on your outline tonight. We will write and edit in class and as before, we will work on writing a topic sentence and thesis statement together. You could be thinking about these things tonight. I know how much you love thinking ahead!
We will be doing vocabulary from part 3 as well. Have a wonderful rainy Tuesday evening.

Read Chapters 9-10 for tomorrow and review the vocabulary
Write a rough draft discussing mood (how mood functions) in one of the two sections that we did in class yesterday on the T chart. This is an expository piece. That means that you are explaining.....
We will edit tomorrow in class. I handed out the rubric.
Tomorrow we will be writing a poem in class just to change the pace a little. It might be fun.
