Finish those definitions on the sheet that I handed out today. Define the words and then use them in a sentence that is related to the story.
The man was not really a wayfarer because he travelled by car and not on foot.

Creative Writing
Draft of your description piece. Remember to keep the points from the sheet in mind when writing.
Editing and sharing will take place tomorrow. We will share with a partner and then with a second group.

Well, we started our class today with great poems about ourselves. Tomorrow, we will be starting short stories.
Remember that our first quiz on Lit terms will be on Monday, Feb.6th. The words will be up to atmosphere and there will be a word bank.

Creative Writing
We will be completing our inside/outside projects for next Monday. We will be talking about them again as the week progresses.
Think of your favorite spot. Bring something to class that reminds you of your favorite spot. We will be writing about it; of course!
On Friday, we will be going to the library to choose a book for Silent Reading.
On Wednesday next week, we will be setting up our blogs for the class.

Today we practiced for the government exam. We reviewed how to write a synthesis piece and we practiced writing in class.
Tomorrow is the essay test. You may use the play as a reference.
