Read up to page 36 of the Crucible. If you were away, look it up online and see if you can get it. Read the first Act until there is a break in the lines.

English 11
Journal for the weekend. Write about something that you might have wished would happen and it did. How did that feel? If you have never had that happen, write about what you would wish to have happen.
We watched PBS Shakespeare uncovered today. We will continue on Tuesday.
Tomorrow there is an assembly.

For Friday

Write a journal or do a mind map about one of the topics from today's class.

Choose one of the following questions and write a journal reflection or create a mind map that addresses one of the topics below. When you have finished, find someone else who has the same topic as you do and share your responses. Then form a small group and discuss (4 people maximum)

1. How can ambition motivate people and how can it be both a positive and negative trait?
2. When do you feel guilt and when do you experience remorse?
3. To what extent does power affect a person's actions?
