We are going to write a dialogue/story that involves Peggy and Ken five years after the accident. Over the weekend, work on making notes about what they have been doing in the interim. Was Peggy seriously injured, did Ken have problems....think about the possibilities. You don't have to write anything more than that.

English 12
Read: Letter to Father. Find images in the text. Use a pencil to mark to book. Note the image, the sense that it appeals to and then note the message/feeling of the image. We will be working on presenting this poem on Monday.

Bring your silent reading book on Monday. We will read in class on Mondays and Fridays.
This week we have been talking about symbolism and colour symbolism.  We are going to create our own symbol cards starting on Monday. Take some time to think about how you could represent yourself through colour, shape, and line.

English 10

Silent Reading for Monday as well. I handed out a sheet called: What's in a Name? Finish the questions for discussion on Monday.

English 12

Silent Reading on Monday. We will be doing a writing assignment in class on Monday related to the story: "The Nearest Exit May be Behind You".  You will have a choice of 4 creative writing assignments. We will be writing a draft in class on Monday. A typed draft will need to be completed for Monday's class.
