Semester 2

It was great to meet all of you today. Here are a few reminders for class tomorrow.

Creative Writing
Make a list of 10-15 things we need to know about you. Try to be as creative as possible

Bring a book that is your favorite. Be prepared to talk about it with the class. If you can't bring a book, please bring a title and be prepared to talk about why you like it. What drew you in?

For Monday January 16th

 Have a great weekend. Looks like rain is in the forecast.

English 12
Finish reading Night.
Do practice exams online, but don't do...2012/2013


English 11/11H
Find examples of:
metaphor
simile
personification
from Acts 1-3 and explain the meaning behind it. Use the worksheet on figurative language that we did in class to guide you.

For Friday....the 13th.....

English 11
Fill  in the sheet with notes from Act 3/provide quote and summary.
Tomorrow we are doing Act 3 in a minute!

English 11H
We will finish Act 3 tomorrow. Fill in the sheet up to what we have done.

English 12
Do the multiple choice questions for the poem. I handed the sheet out in class today. We will mark it tomorrow.

For January 11

English 12
Finish reading to chapter 6
Finish finding images, creating 3 discussion questions
Write a half page reflection about something that struck you in this section. Refer to the first question on the sheet.

English 11
Tableaux will be presented tomorrow. Finish the sheets for tomorrow on Act 2
We are starting Act 3

English 11H
Finish Act 1 sheets.

For Monday

Crossgrade Essay test for all classes on Monday. Please leave yourself time to get here if the weather is bad.

For January 5th

English 12
Work for 7 mins. Work with your quote. Form a question. Look at stories, poems, non-fiction, essays, film, plays or novels that could provide the answer to the question. Note points down. Create a thesis statement.
