Good work today. Grade 10's you will get better at reading Shakespeare with more practice and time. You will have to pay close attention in class....That may be tough for some of you.  Creative Writing...it was hard to say good bye to Toy Story. You wrote some good journal entries today. Congrats to all the twelves who were in the Prince of Whales. I understand that it was a fun time. English 12...your pantomimes were great. Jackie...you make an excellent Hamlet!

Tonight:
English 12
think of a theme that is connected to your I am poem. For example, you might think of the theme of being lost or finding your anchor....it doesn't matter.  Write a minimum of 5 lines that relate to that theme. Try to be like Sylvia Plath and have a strong shift in your last line. Bring your draft to class.

Bring your silent reading book for tomorrow. We will begin Hamlet tomorrow. I will tell you the story of the first act and then we will watch in in sections.

Bring your baking for tomorrow and a blanket. Meet me in the foyer at the beginning of the block.
Letters from phase 2 should be mailed over the weekend. Take a picture and send it to me.
Rachel, read your children's story on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, we will tell the class what we are doing for phase 3. Bring paper, envelopes and stamps. svp.
Next project:   5 minute mystery
Drafts of poems are due on Wednesday. Post one of your poems on your blog this weekend.

I will take your storybooks back after our visit.

Good work today
Draw a Venn Diagram.  Put the characters we have met in scene 1 in the diagram. The only person in the middle should be Prince Escalus.  Write some information about the character
Study your poetry terms. We are playing a game tomorrow,
There is a test on Tuesday. There will be a choice box at the top of the page.
